1-2T black or regular sesame seeds
3T TOASTED sesame oil
1-2T Balsamic vinegar - any flavor
1sm carrot - grated
3/4c craisins or raisins
1med onion - quartered and sliced
1/2sm-med head of red cabbage
1/2med-lg head of green cabbage
In a big non-stick pan, dry toast and stir the sesame seeds and almonds until they snap a bit and begin to brown. Add sesame oil, vinegar, carrot and craisins. Stir and heat. Add onion, thinly sliced cabbage, heat and stir until everything barely sizzles. Cabbage is packed with vitamin C, which is destroyed by heat, so just stir to warm everything. Let stand in the pan awhile, off the stove, to blend all the flavors. Check seasonings, add salt, pepper, more oil, dressing and vinegar if needed. Serve warm or chilled.
