Midwestern 'Hot Dish' (Homemade Hamburger Helper)



1½# ground beef
1 med. onion
1 large can petite diced tomatoes
8oz. fresh sliced mushrooms
salt and pepper
pinch of brown sugar
1c dry medium texture pasta -
~~cooked about half way


Brown the beef with the onion, add remaining ingredients then simmer until mushrooms are cooked. Serve with crusty bread and a salad. This is a favorite of my North Dakota fiancee' who makes it regularly.
