A Shout-Out To Sandi 🥰

I've been doing Slow Food—Healthy Food for about 10 years now.  This blog format is not the most user friendly, but I've learned pretty well how to navigate it.  One thing that bothers me, is the difficulty in being able to answer 'fan' comments.  It's iffy at best.  I've typed up many long responses over the years - only to have them disappear when I try to post.  Occasionally though, they somehow get through.  Please know, all of you who have sent them, I so appreciate your positive thoughts and input, and just that you're here!!  With Me in this food adventure!  You can always email me if you'd like.  My email addresss is included in my profile information.  Sandi is one of my most loyal fans and comments often.  Thank you so much Sandi, for all your support and input over the years.  Sandi commented on a recent post, regarding one of my bowls.

As a Foodie, as you might imagine, I'm pretty much all about anything kitchen, cooking or food related.  I'm not a huge fan of single purpose gadgets, however.  I'm also not your typical girlie 'shopper.'  I don't drool over clothes or shoes.  However. . .shopping at one of our local Kitchen stores, -or- grocery shopping at Aldi's, Super One, a Farmer's Market, Co-Op or Mount Royal, a wonderful, trendier, fancy 'splurge' grocery store here in Duluth. . .that's a whole 'nother story!  I Love That!  Sandi commented on one of the bowls shown in a recent post.  I wanted to answer her personally, but couldn't 😟 so I'll do it here. . .Sandi!  I have a story about these, as I do about most things in my kitchen!

There's a wonderful flea market, that runs continually throughout the summer, about 50 miles north of here.

They sell all things home-and-garden related, with endless tables of cookware, glasses, dishes and kitchen things, plus everything else you'd expect to find at a big flea market.

Last year on my way up the north shore  I stopped and saw the bowls and a couple other things.  What I usually do on my way north, is pre-shop there, then on my way home stop again to buy after pondering those potential purchases a while.  I almost didn't stop the second time, figuring I could find them on eBay, but I'm SO glad I changed my mind!  If I didn't know better, I'd think the 'Ruffleware' company made just these 3 bowls - then went out of business!  I check regularly, because I'd love to add a few more, but they're not to be found ANYWHERE!!  They're the BEST little bowls!

Happy Hump Day Everyone!

Happy Cooking To All Of You. . .😊. . .Lin

  1. 😃 So surprised to see my name!

The bowls are very pretty. There is a pottery painting place near here, which I hope will re-open one day, and I may try to paint something in this style. You've inspired me!
