Got 1/2 an avocado, a long piece of artisan whole grain bread and some fruit? Well then, you've got a great breakfast, lunch or snack, just waiting to happen!
Cut the bread in half and pop both pieces in the toaster then slice up part of an apple (orange, pear, banana)
When the toast pops up. put 1/4 of the avocado on each piece, mash lightly and season. I used Kinder's Garlic Salt and my blend of ground black+cayenne pepper. With a mug of steamy buckwheat tea, this was perfect!
By the way - buckwheat - despite its name - is gluten free, caffeine free and has some great health benefits. . .Lin
