Quickly saute 3-5 minutes:
2 cups sliced sweet onions
1 cup slivered almonds
2 T TOASTED sesame oil (brown not clear)
Add:
2 cups broccoli florets
3 lg cloves of chopped garlic
Continue to stir-saute another few minutes.
Add a splash of water, cover and cook on low 2-3 minutes.
Stir in 1# thawed, frozen shrimp, cover and cook-steam a few more minutes. At the very end add any flavoring or sauces you want, sweet and sour, ginger sauce, etc. This time I used about 1/4 c sunflower (almond or peanut) butter and a splash of tamari or soy sauce. Serve over rice, pasta or rice noodles. 2-3 servings. . .Lin
My original goal here was to create a new recipe daily, or several times a week - cook, photograph and post each one. I've been doing this since April 2011 and. . .as of today. . .I now have over 1,900 original recipes and informational posts! I'm thinking a couple cookbooks will be down the road a bit! I love making fresh, healthy food, so new techniques and great ingredients are really important to me . . . Find, and Follow Your Passions ! . ! BE BOLD — BE CREATIVE — HAPPY COOKING ! . ! Lin
