1/4c walnut or pecan pieces
1 T butter
3 plums - sliced-chopped
1/4c raisins - dark or golden
2 T candied ginger - chopped
1/2 lemon - zest and juice
1 cinnamon stick
1/4c Maple syrup
Toast nuts in a dry non-stick pan until lightly browned. Add remaining ingredients except Maple syrup. Stir over low heat until it simmers. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or longer until all the fruit becomes translucent and raisins plump up. Add Maple syrup and simmer over low heat, uncovered, until the mixture thickens. . .Lin
