Nuts, Dried Fruits and Cheese

1/4c  raisins
1/4c  slivered almonds
1-2oz  sharp, dry cheese
~ 1/2c  cottage cheese

Put raisins then almonds in a small bowl.  Add a couple tablespoons of water, cover and microwave 20-40 seconds and let stand a few minutes to rehydrate raisins.  Add cheese cut in small cubes.  ~ Normally I also add 1/2c cottage cheese but was out of that this morning.  This is a really nice, quick change from a more conventional breakfast or snack.  It's a good source of calcium, fiber, protein, but also high in carbs.
