Breakfast Fruit Salad




1/3 c dried fruit
1-2T jam, marmalade, etc.
a spash of water or fruit juice
½ canteloupe
1 ripe peach
1 ripe banana







Combine dried fruit – today I used dried Bing Cherries, but I prefer craisins. Prunes or raisins could also be used. Cut the fruit up a little so it'll rehydrate well. Add jam and water or fruit juice to dried fruit. Let it stand an hour or so, or combine in a small pan and heat just a little, or microwave it for 30 seconds or so. Let this cool a bit. Wash, then peel the cantaloupe, peach and banana, slice or dice into a bowl. Pour dried fruit mix over the fruit in the bowl, stir, serve now or cover and chill a while. . .Lin
