Sweet. . .7 Minute Carrots



3  lg   carrots - scrubbed and sliced
1        scallion, green onion - thinly sliced
1-2 T butter
1     T pure dark Maple syrup
1/4  t  ground cinnamon
coarse sea salt and fresh ground pepper




Put sliced vegetables into a small-medium serving bowl.  Run under cold water.  Tilt bowl to the side, draining all but a couple tablespoons of water.  Cover with a paper plate to steam-cook in the microwave for 7 minutes at 70% power.  Stir once half way through cooking.  Drain water off, add remaining ingredients, mix.  Two servings. . .Lin
