FRESH Garlic!


If you're lucky enough to find this at a co-op, farmer's market or from a friend's garden, :o) it's a wonderful thing. Open the bulb as shown and break off as many cloves needed for your recipe.  Peel the outer tough covering off the individual cloves.





To keep the remainder fresh, for a week or so, cut away most of the stalk length, wrap in a damp paper towel and refrigerate. Every day or so, check the towel. If dry, re-mist to dampen it again. Whatever is left after about a week should be dried at room temperature until it resembles what you buy in the grocery store. . .Ahhh Summer Vegetables! . . . Lin
