Apple Berry Fruit Sauce

2 big Envy apples, scrubbed
2c frozen pineapple
2c frozen berries
1T coconut sugar
1t pumpkin pie spice
1c water
juice of 1/2 lemon

Core and chop the apples. Cut up the cherries, strawberries and pineapple, leaving the blueberries whole.

Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a simmer. Cook in this way, covered for 10 minutes then check the apples for doneness. Everything should be softened enough to mash. If not add another 5 minutes of cooking time.

This is a nice change from plain applesauce and a good way to use up frozen fruit. . .Lin

Fruity-Nutty Granola, Yogurt and Fruit

½c Chobani Plain Greek
½c Bear Naked granola
½c quartered cherries

While eating this. . .I mentally recalculated the calories a couple times. Hard to believe something with this much flavor, crunch and volume is under 500 calories! I will ALWAYS buy this yogurt if it's available, regardless of cost. This time it was comparably priced to lesser yogurts.

430 calories!!
I love the creator's sense of passion, community, fairness, the way he compensates his employees and supports family back in his homeland.  Read more here:  Chobani  This time, as I picked it up I saw that my grocery store was doing a promotional.  If you buy two packages of Bear Naked Granola, the yogurt rings up free!  I'd never tried this granola before, but when I saw all the fruit and nuts, decided to give it a try.  Winning Combination!!  It's great!  The cherries, well, although they're mixed in, they're like The Cherries On Top!
I love this! . .Lin 🍒 💕 🍒

SuperFood Smoothie

1 med. banana
1 to 1-1/2 c frozen fruit
3/4-1c plain Greek yogurt
pure pomegranate juice
a little organic honey

Combine all in a blender, pour and drink.  I've found a frozen fruit mix I just love, sold at Walmart.  I'ts their Great Value brand, "Cherry Berry Blend" consisting of cherries, blueberries and strawberries.  A wonderful antioxidant, healthy fiber-filled combination.  I used to buy one that had blackberries instead of cherries, but all those blackberry seeds are obnoxious.  This is so nice.

You might not need it, but I recommend adding the honey.  It's good for a little natural sweetness and the more you read about this wonderful bee-product, the more you'll want to be including it in your diet anywhere you need a little burst of something sweet.  Honey is a very healthy sweetener.  All these ingredients are amazing.  If you have a little time, do a nutritional search on each of them and. . .prepare to be awed. . .Lin
