Fruit and Vegetable Green Smoothie



When your immune system isn't what it should be, it seems you're constantly fighting off some virus. That's how I woke this morning, feeling icky once again. . . I had a bowl of the turkey-wildrice-vegetable soup I made this weekend, but my body was still yelling for something more. Something fresh. 

Alrighty-Then. . .time to fire up the blender.

I used everything, as shown, except for cutting them up.

1 big carrot
1 stalk celery
1T ground cinnamon
mini English cucumbers
a piece of candied ginger
strawberries - with green tops
the top half of a dark green Romaine
3/4-1c Chobani whole milk plain Greek yogurt
a big splash of fruit juice




This is why I'll never own another juicer. . .everything in the first photo ended up pulverized, into my glass.

With a juicer, you throw away at least 3/4 to get a minuscule amount of the clear extract of the fruits and vegetables. 

There's so much good fiber that never makes it into your body, compost or muffins since most people just pitch it.
